Akiba geeks get spiritual succour

A group of women dressed in maid costumes carried a portable shrine adorned with anime figurines and plastic models on a street in Akihabara, Tokyo, on Sunday, April 26.

The 200-kilogram portable shrine, named "Akiba Mikoshi," was carried from the shopping complex Akihabara UDX to Kanda Shrine "to drive away the economic downturn and unpleasant incidents."
